What is counselling?

Counselling can help you find solutions to your problems.

Counselling can help you come to terms with a difficult situation.

Counselling can help you better understand your feelings and emotions.

Counselling is often described as a talking therapy.  You will be given the time and space to explore your problems, understand your problems and resolve or come to terms with your problems.

I will listen carefully to you without judging you.  I will not tell you what to do but will help you think about any changes you might want to make in your life.  It will be up to you to choose what you want to do.

What type of problems can counselling help?

Counselling can help you find solutions to or come to terms with many of life's problems.  Anxiety, depression, relationship breakdowns, family issues, bereavement, redundancy, sadness, guilt and low self-esteem are just some of the issues people bring to counselling.
